I have come across a lot of posts about BSc and HND and those that own BSc being too proud of their achievements while those that own HND are trying to combat for the space and also feel important.
But let's come back home, we are all educated and that should be seen as an achievement, it rather saddening when a sane person with minimum of 4 years in school will begin to tell you his self worth when we are already living in a country where your worth is not valued.
I was in a discussion today with a friend, a company agent working for a Indian company, if you know anyone that works with an Indian company you ask and confirm you'll know that the story is all the same. India today is the number one (1) employer of labor as far as Nigeria is concerned but how are they employing you? Is it worth the value of your education?
You own a BSc or HND in Nigeria, you want to work for an Indian company, you'll be forced to take up a job that five (5) people should have done still with the pay cut of one person, if you complain, you'll be told that there are a thousand of Nigerians waiting for that job (which is true) so if you're not ready for the job you can let go and you'll be forced to work even in pains.
What do you brag about? When your government and leaders don't value the papers you have at hand? What do you value about when your pride is not known, recognized and respected by someone else that comes to work in your country?
If you want to complain or if you want to show your importance, I think coming to the social media to brag about the value of your BSc over HND is the least of how to show your importance.
You need brain restructure.
